Isa Firecracker - Pedigree
12-8-18
Isa ran a lifetime best 103 Equibase speed figure but got beat nose from a horse simply flying late. She thought she won it after the race and couldn't understand why they weren't taking her photo. LOL
10-6-18
Isa ran 3rd in the Harris Farms Stakes at Big Fresno Fair in an uninspired run
8-31-18
Isa FIrecracker did it again! Wins come back Open Allowance race by 6 lengths.
8-29-18
Just can't even sleep awaiting Isa FIrecrackers comeback race August 31st at Golden Gate in a Optional $62,5000 race.
7/10/2018
Isa is BACK! Working hard and loving the fact she's back in training. .Should be ready for an August start.
4/29/2018
Looking toward May 15th to resume training
January 15th 2018 Isa enjoying her well deserved time and rest on the farm. Should be back in action late spring.
June 4th, 2018
The decision was made to bring Isa Firecracker back to the races. She's scheduled to arrive at Golden Gate Fields Saturday June 9th, 2018
May 1st, 2018
Isa has put on quite a bit of weight so we are beginning the process of bringing her back to the races. She'll be on the exerciser for 30 minutes a day and have a rider up for another 20 minutes or so.
December 24th, 2017
Stopped by to give Isa some carrots and and she's feeling great. Told her to take it easy and we'd talk about getting back to the races next spring
October 22nd, 2017
The decision has been made to give our hard working gal 6 months of rest and relaxation out at Victory Rose
October 21st, 2017
Isa ran huge, getting up for 2nd after being blocked and steadied twice during the race. She's feeling amazing and looking forward to her next race.
October 17th
Next up - Golden Gate Fields Open allowance going 6f. Isa is 3 for 3 at Goldengate so let's see if she can keep the win streak alive.
September 30th
We entered Isa into the UnzipMe Stakes at Santa Anita going 6 1/2 furlongs on the grass. This was the first time she had laid eyes on the stuff and she ran very well despite seeming to have a tough time focusing on the turf for the first time. She came out happy and sound so we're looking forward to getting her back out on the grass now that she's got a taste.

Wow. Just wow. Isa made us proud once again. Winning her 2nd level allowance race by a half-length over a very competitive group of females. The ride by Gomez was no less than excellent. With amazing patience, Gomez sat back off the pace and waiting to use Isa's late run. He timed it absolutely perfectly! Isa was full of run today but she really had to fight through two horses in the stretch and together she and Gomez found a hole no one could see (even watching the replay). Isa got up to win by a half-length beating a very good group of fillies and Mares and earning her new lifetime best speed figure.
August 23rd, 2017
Isa Firecracker has been training well back on her home court, Golden Gate Fields. She entered to make her next start going 5.5 Furlongs with an Optional $62,500 Allowance. She seems happy again and is bouncing over the track. Look out, tough field of 7 will have their hands full with Isa feeling her best again.
July 30th
Probably asked too much from Isa sending her down to Del Mar to run in the Fleet Treat. Live and learn. The trip down was 10 hours and 8 days rest just wasn't enough. Isa was tired and didn't show her best effort.
July 27th, 2017
It's official we're going to the Fleet Treat Stakes July 30th at Del Mar. Changing jockey's because of the last minute decision to go but excited to see how the exciting up and comer Evin Roman is up on our Isa. Isa came out of the Governor's Stakes in excellent shape and ate up everything in sight. She on her toes and we think ready to go run huge in Del Mar. Not too often you use a Stakes for a prep into another Stakes but then again she's not your average horse
July 22nd, 2017
The Governor's Stakes Sacramento. Well, Isa Firecracker ran into a very difficult group of older Mares. She competed early but ran one-paced after that. We're thinking she just needed a race to get back into the swing of things after the long layoff. Hoping she comes out well.
July 5th, 2017
Isa has been working up a storm heading towards her comeback. It's hit and miss whether she will run in the Governors Cup stakes in Sacramento on July 22nd or the Fleet Treat Stakes July 30th in Del Mar.
May 15th
Isa Firecracker is so happy to be back at the track training daily. She's doing great and we're pointing her to the Fleet Stakes in Del Mar July 25th. Should be an exciting return to the big stage.
April 27th, 2017
They say good things come to those that wait and boy have we been waiting. Isa got a gravel the day we were heading back to Golden Gate and the damn thing took FOREVER to come out. She put on 150 lbs. at the ranch and looks scary good. Van arrives at Golden Gate Saturday 4-29-17 to drop off Isa Firecracker. Hopefully, the racing Gods give her a chance to show everyone what she was born to do; run like the wind!
February 23rd, 2017
Isa is feeling great and ready to get back to the track. We're sending her back to Golden Gate the 1st week of March to resume training. Look for her in the work tabs mid to late April. Were eyeing our return
January 1st, 2017
Isa Firecracker had an impressive 2-year-old campaign, winning maiden special weight on debut, 2nd in an allowance, 3rd in the Cal Cup Stakes and winning the Debutante. SO we decided to give her a little rest to keep her from overdoing it.The plan is to have Isa take 60 days off and then return to training.

Golden Gate Debutante Stakes
Isa made us all so proud by fighting all the way to the wire to win her first stakes race by a nose! Myles said, " I haven't won a trophy in a long long time. The Tiffany crystal trophy is maybe my favorite of all time. Isa Firecracker won the Debutante today at Golden Gate fields and showed so much class, with many many of us there to root her on. Thanks Isa for the memories, thanks for making me so proud, thanks for making me look a little less foolish for always going all in on my passion for horse racing and thanks for bringing so many people together." Just think, many partners early on were offered 10% for $7500, what a bargain that looks like today.

Breeders Cup Day - Golden State Juvenile Fillies Stakes
Isa Firecracker ran huge for us yet again. She ended up 3rd despite a rough trip where she re-rallied from 5th after getting into a little trouble. Now a Stakes Placed Filly, we couldn't be more proud of her.
November 1st, 2016
Isa Firecracker ran her way into the Golden State Juvenile Fillies Stakes November 4th, 2016 on Breeders Cup day. The Isa team is very excited to make our stakes debut in such an incredible atmosphere. Word has it Myles bought his first black Stetson hat for the occasion. A large crowd of family friends and fans are making it down to Santa Anita to enjoy the festivities and root on our little girl!
October 9th, 2016
Isa Firecracker ran absolutely huge in her 1st Level Allowance Santa Anita race. Beat only a neck by the 1 to 5 favorite Vai, Isa ran with dirt in her face for the first time, came up the rail like she did in her debut and passed her rival Vai just past the wire. As Ron Ellis TVG commentator said, "If Vai were in the 1 hole she would have been beat!" Here's hoping we turn the tables on Vai in the upcoming CTBA 2-Year-old filly stakes on Breeders Cup day.
October 3rd, 2016
Isa Firecracker entered the $50,000 optional allowance in race 1 October 6th at Santa Anita. Isa is in against only 4 other fillies however the competition is tough. 3 of the 4 come out of winning races and Vai, the morning line favorite made her debut a winning one with the 2nd fastest clocked by a CA filly sprinter in CA so far this year. Isa takes her down and we're talking CTBA filly Stakes on Breeders Cup day. Go, Isa!!!

McMahon Capall and our connections pulled off a shocker in the Friday 8-19 feature at Golden Gate. Isa Firecracker (Heatseeker), won her Maiden Special weight debut in fine form. Running 5.5 panels, Isa Firecracker broke sharply from the two hole. Shuffled back a bit before coming back strong and pulling away by a length or so. Though overlooked at the windows (paid $26.20), it was a commanding victory.
Some perspective on the achievement. When you consider 20,000 thoroughbreds are born with the sky being the limit, winning 1st out, in a maiden special weight, is pretty incredible. I'm guessing there are somewhere between 100-300 2yo maiden races. Of those, 1st-time starters probably win 3-10%. I could be way off, but you can't have more the 30 first time winners @ 2 in MSW. To boot, this is McMahon Capall's 1st homebred.
I see a 40k OC on September 9th @ GG. Assuming she came out alright, I'd be inclined to put her there but Jamey's the boss.
9-14-16 Isa Firecracker being pointed to the October 5th Santa Anita race for 2-year-old Cal Bred Nonwinners of 2 other than. That goes well the plan is to enter into the Breeders Cup Day CTBA Golden State Juvenile Fillies Stakes.
